Mammoth Lakes has countless opportunities to get out and explore. Whether it’s fishing, hiking, or biking it seems as though Mammoth has something for everyone. But if you’re looking to just relax and take a break from the action, The Village at Mammoth offers a summer movie and concert series sure to please all age groups and tastes.
The Village at Mammoth is the heart of Mammoth and is located on the corner of Minaret road and Main Street. The village offers 14 dining and 15 shopping options as well as hosting an abundance of events throughout the summer. The summer concert and movie series, just two of the events happening this summer, attract locals and visitors alike and are sure to provide entertainment everyone will enjoy.
The summer movie series this season includes current and classic titles such as, We Bought a Zoo, Gulliver’s Travels, The Prince’s Bride, and Life of Pi. No matter what the title, all of the movies shown are family friendly. The movies air every Thursday and Sunday evening at sundown. Seating is available for the first 80 people so make sure to get there a little bit early. The summer concert series this season is filled with local bands and cover names that will please any musical taste. Lava moon and Echo Love Chamber are just a few bands that will be playing this summer. It all kicks off the evening of Friday June 21 and is followed the next week with the Mardi Gras celebration. Concerts are held every Friday and Saturday starting in the late afternoon. Local food vendors, Breweries, and restaurants within the village often set up stands during these concerts and offer some great food for sale. The concerts are always a positive atmosphere and are kid and pet friendly.
